Electric MapThree new electric maps were added to the site today along with some changes to the existing maps, which includes a power plant that leads to the electric maps. Ten new character sprites were also added, so now there are many more options when choosing your trainer sprite. A couple of interface improvements were made today – the page for making a trade offer and changing Pokémon in your team. The make a trade offer page now consists of two side-by-side columns, so you do not have to scroll up and down to see what Pokémon you have offered. The page for changing Pokémon in your team now lets you change any number of Pokémon on your team at once. There is also now a page that allows you to put up many Pokémon for trade at once that works in the same way as the new trade offers page.

Version 6 is complete! I've been working on this version for some time now, which those of you who visit the forums probably already knew about. This version brings a lot of changes to the battle arena. The biggest of which is the ability to offer multiple Pokemon in trade for another member's Pokémon. Many users have been asking for this since trading was introduced in version 5. Another big change is the map layout. The compass has been moved to the right side of the map for easier navigation. Due to this change, the menu bar on the right side has been moved into four drop down menus at the top.

There's another improvement to the map – when you click on a sprite on the map, a small box comes up over the map telling you about the teams of the members on that spot with links to battle them. Battling has been improved by showing the results of the last attack and allowing you to select another attack on the same page. No more having to click continue after every attack.

There are a number of other improvements throughout the game. The view all your Pokémon page now features a search for those of you with lots of Pokémon. It even offers suggestions as you type of Pokémon you own. When you receive a new message, a box will appear at the top of the page alerting you to it. If you don't want this to appear, you can turn it off on your profile page. For that matter, you can turn off messaging completely if you want.

I hope you all enjoy playing on version 6 as much as I enjoyed writing it!

December 23rd, 2006:
A new type of Pokemon have been added to the arena: Ghostly Pokémon. These Pokemon are another type of special Pokémon like Shiny, Dark, and Metallic. Just like the other special types, Ghostly Pokémon also have a special ability. Whenever a Ghostly Pokemon attacks, there is a chance that it will scare the defending Pokemon. This is a status effect just like confusing or paralyzing the Pokémon, and can be removed with a Full Heal. This also means Metallics are immune to the Ghostly's special ability. I hope everyone enjoys the new addition! I've been getting great feedback on it so far.

The server upgrades were completed this week and I would say that it was definitely worth a few days of the site being slow. The site is faster than ever now, even when there are over 15,000 members online.

December 9th, 2006:
I apologize for the slow speed of the site right now. The servers for the site are currently in the middle of being upgraded, so for the time being this is causing speed and sometimes connection problems. However, once the upgrade is complete, the site should be faster than ever!

November 7th, 2006:
A couple of days ago a new lava map was added to the site, which I'm sure many of you have already gotten a chance to check out. All the fire Pokemon will now be found on this map. I've also updated all the Pokémon sprites on the site, which is a fairly significant change since the previous sprites had been used for at least the past 3 years.
